Endotherm

A warm-blooded organism that generates heat to maintain its body temperature, typically above the temperature of its surroundings; a homeotherm. Humans are endothermic. When we get cold, we shiver to generate heat. We do this just to maintain a certain body temperature (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit). In this picture me, my cousin, and her husband are in the snow shivering to generate body heat. Do not let the smiles fool you, we were cold! This picture was taken outside my cousin's apartment in Gardendale, Alabama.
