Flower Ovary

A flower ovary is a part of the female reproductive organ of the flower. It is part of the pistil, which holds the ovule. The flower ovary bears ovules and protects them until fertilization starts. This is a picture of a flower and another flower on the same stem that has not fully bloomed yet. That structure that looks like a flower that has not bloomed yet is the flower ovary. Inside of this structure is the flower ovules. This picture was taken at Home Depot in Southeast Washington, D.C.
