Dicot Plant with Flower and Leaf

Dicotyledons, also known as dicots, is the name for a group of flowering plants whose embryo seeds consists of two cotyledon. Their flower parts, or petals, are usually in multiples of four or five. This picture was taken on the campus of Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. The pink flowers are definitely dicot plants because there are five petals on each flower.
