Lipid used for energy storage



Lipids are a broad group of naturally-occurring molecules which includes fats, waxes, sterols, fat-soluble vitamins (such as vitamins A, D, E and K), monoglycerides, diglycerides, phospholipids, and others. A triglyceride consists of a glycerol and three fatty acids. It is the major type of lipid used for energy storage and it is found in droplets within the cytoplasm. It is non-polar and relatively insoluble.Many foods contain fats. Most meat, poultry, seafood, and even fish, also junk food like chips, soda and cakes ect.
